How to submit a book to Angry Robot

Only through an agent

Angry Robot reads novel proposals only through a literary agent, except in its Open Doors submission periods, when it takes unagented proposals. It bought Wesley Chu’s first novel, The Lives of Tao, through Open Door.

What it says

“If you do not have an agent, we cannot accept a proposal from you.”

“The only time we relax this rule is during our Open Doors Submission period, when we accept unagented proposals.”

What it says it looks for

“We currently only publish novels (think 70k+ words), whether standalone or as part of greater series.”

“All our books are “genre” fiction in one way or another – specifically science fiction, fantasy, and horror.”
